Orust Kommun står inför arbetet med att förnya och utveckla ett industriområde vid hamnen i Mollösund. Målet är att bevara kulturarvet i den lilla fiskebyn samtidigt som man vill satsa på ett levande samhälle, den viktiga turistnäringen samt tillfredställa många målgrupper. Rapportens syfte är att föra en diskussion och därmed bidra med ett underlag till Orusts kommuns arbete och beslut för förändring av industritomten belägen i Mollösunds hamn. Detta genomförs genom en fallstudie där ett antal befintliga områden analyseras, vilka alla är relevanta för industriområdet i Mollösund. Diskussionen skall belysa olika typer av verksamheter som kan inhysas på industritomten och analysera vilka som är mer eller mindre lämpliga. Genom en kritiskt granskad litteraturstudie inhämtades bakgrundsinformation om Mollösund och turism för att förstå bakgrunden till Mollösunds identitet. Genom dialog med representanter på Orust kommun, litteraturstudier, information från intressenter samt studiebesök gjordes en inventering av vad för verksamheter som i dagsläget bedrivs i och i närheten av Mollösund. Detta för att förstå vad för verksamhet som kan vara lämplig och kompletterande för Mollösund. Utifrån den kunskapen 11 olika jämförelseobjekt ut, med hjälp av turistguider och internet. Dessa skulle vara så olika som möjligt och alla vara aktuella att placera på industritomten. Jämförelseobjekten utreddes konsekvent med hjälp av relevanta parametrar. Syftet med dessa jämförelseobjekt är att utreda en mängd olika verksamheter för att identifiera huruvida bra en viss verksamhet/byggnad kan vara för Mollösund. Utifrån en diskussion mellan författarna och representanter från Orust kommun samt en SWOT-analys valdes två av de 11 jämförelseobjekten ut. Dessa studerades och besöktes för att sedan anpassas till industritomten som presenteras med skisser, byggnadsanalys och modell. Detta för att hjälpa Orust kommuns arbete med att utveckla hamnen i Mollösund och försöka illustrera och isolera lämpliga verksamheter. Resultatet är en diskussion utifrån olika aktörers behov, krav och önskemål. Där framkom det att industritomten kan nyttjas av en restaurang/saluhall eller en museiverksamhet, likt Fiskekyrkan i Göteborg respektive Nordiska akvarellmuseet på Tjörn. Resultatet av diskussionen är ett förslag där dessa anpassas till Mollösunds förutsättningar i omfattning och arkitektur. ABSTRACT The Municipality of Orust intends to alter and develop an industrial site at the marina of Mollösund. The goal is to preserve the cultural heritage of the small fishing village as well as invest in a vibrant community, the important tourism industry and at the same time satisfy interests of groups with different interests in Mollösund. The purpose of the report is to conduct a discussion and thereby contribute to a basis in order to support the progress to renew and develop the industrial site. This is accomplished through a case study where a number of existing areas were analyzed. These are relevant to the industry site in Mollösund. The discussion will highlight different types of businesses that can be kept on the industrial site and those that are more or less pertinent. The background information of Mollösund and tourism is conducted through a critical literature study. The information were needed to comprehend the heritage of Mollösund and how the interest to invest on tourism could be accomplished. Through dialogue with representatives of Orust, literature studies, information from interested parties and study visits, an inventory of current business in Mollösund were conducted. This was done in order to recognize suitable and complementary business to Mollösund. By that result, 11 comparison objects could be selected. These were as different as possible, and carefully chosen using tourist guides and internet. All of the comparison objects can be relevant to the location on the industrial site. These were investigated consistently using relevant parameters. The purpose of these comparison objects is to investigate a wide range of business to identify adaptable a particular activity/building may be too Mollösund. Based on a discussion with the authors, representatives from Orust and a SWOT analysis, 2 of the 11 comparison objects were selected. These 2 were studied and visited and then adapted to the industrial site. The adaptions are presented with sketches, building analysis and models in order to help Orust in their work to develop the marina of Mollösund, and try to illustrate and define an appropriate business. The result is a discussion based on different actors' needs, requirements and desires. It emerged that the industrial site can be used as a restaurant/food hall or a museum, like the Fiskekyrkan in Gothenburg respective the Nordiska Akvarellmuseet on Tjörn. The result of the discussion is a proposal where these are adapted to Mollösunds conditions in scale and architecture.
