Sammanfattning Under projekteringsskedet i byggbranschen är god kommunikation en central del för att arbetet skall kunna fungera smidigt. Detta för att mycket information måste hanteras och många beslut måste fattas. Idag genomförs informationsspridning i projekteringsskedet i fyra dominerande medier: Möten, telefonsamtal, mail och projektplatser. Branschen efterfrågar en bättre kanal för hantering av information i projekteringsskedet. Det holländska företaget Kubus har utvecklat en issue-collaborator vid namn BIM-collab för att möta branschens önskemål. BIM-collab är ett verktyg för ärendehantering i projekteringsskedet. Programmet utvecklar totalentreprenörernas möjligheter att kontrollera och styra ett projekt. Syftet med rapporten är att analysera issue-collaboratorn BIM-collab och dess möjligheter att förenkla hanteringen av information för totalentreprenörer under projekteringsskedet. Resultatet av rapporten kommer att baseras på litteraturstudier samt ett antal kvalitativa intervjuer med entreprenörer i branschen. En enklare undersökning kommer även ske hos konsulter som testat programmet. Konsulterna ombeds att svara på ett frågeformulär via mail. De genomförda intervjuerna tyder på att det i branschen finns brister i kommunikationen under projekteringsskedet såsom brist på hjälpmedel för att dokumentera, styra samt följa upp arbetet. Det tyder även på att det förekommer brister i möjligheten för totalentreprenörerna att styra sina projekt. Litteratur påvisar att det även finns tidsbesparingar att hämta under projekteringsskedet i byggbranschen Analysen av projektet tyder på att BIM-collab kan bidra till att förenkla hanteringen av dessa problem. Programmet möjliggör en förbättrad hantering av informationsflödet i projekteringsskedet vilket medför förbättrad möjlighet att styra ett projekt. Efter analys av resultatet påvisas att kommunikation som tidigare varit utom räckhåll för totalentreprenören kan göras tillgänglif med hjälp av BIM-collab och därmed påverkas och kontrolleras. Efter att rapporten färdigställts rekommenderar författarna att BIM-collab eller liknande programvara bör implementeras i projekteringsskedet då det möjliggör en potentiell förbättrad arbetsprocess. ABSTRACT During design phase in the construction business, good communication is vital to get a good workflow. This is because a lot of information needs to be handled and many decisions has to be made. Today the information spread in the construction industry is handled with four dominant communication medias, meetings, phone calls, mail and project places. The industry is asking for a better communication media in the design phase. The Dutch company Kubus have developed a software called BIM-collab to meet the industry's demands. BIM-collab does not only work as an alternative communication media but also as a tool for entrepreneurs. The software evolves their opportunities to control and direct a project. The purpose of this report is to analyse the issue-collaborator BIM-collab and its possibilities to simplify the management of information during the design phase. The result of the report will be based on literature studies and qualitative interviews with active entrepreneurs in the industry. A few consults that have tried the software will also receive a survey that they are asked to answer over mail. The interviews indicates that there are flaws in the communication during the design phase in the industry due to the lack of information management. They also point to the lack of possibilities for the entrepreneurs to direct their projects. Literature indicates that there are time saving to achieve during the design phase in the construction business. The analysis of the project points towards that BIM-collab can contribute to improve these flaws. The software contributes to increased access toward documentation of the communication which entails an improved possibility to direct a project. When the result have been analysed it shows that the communication which earlier has been out of reach for the entrepreneur now can be obtained and therefore affected and controlled with the help of BIM-collab. After the completion of the report the authors recommend that BIM-collab or similar software should be implemented in the design phase since it enables a potential improved workflow
