Vi identifierar, observerar och beskriver vår tids stora miljöproblem med målet att utveckla modeller, verktyg och konkurrenskraftiga tekniska lösningar för en omställning inom sektorer som energi, transport och tung industri. I en vetenskapligt excellent miljö utvecklar vi ny teknik, bygger kunskap och utbildar framtidens ingenjörer som kan bidra till ett långsiktigt hållbart samhälle.

En stor del av vår forskning handlar också om att inta systemvetenskapliga perspektiv, där vi fokuserar på samspelet mellan teknik, samhälle och miljö för att få fram resilienta lösningar för framtiden.

We identify, analyse and describe the major environmental challenges of our time, with the aim of developing models, tools and competitive technological solutions to support the transition in sectors such as energy, transport and heavy industry. Within a scientifically excellent environment, we develop new technologies, build knowledge and educate the engineers of the future who can contribute to a sustainable society in the long term.

A significant part of our research also takes a systems perspective, focusing on the interaction between technology, society and the environment in order to develop resilient solutions for the future.
