dc.description.abstractto be depleted in decades. Thus, an important challenge is headed to scientist community to find alternative sustainable energy sources. Many factors, such as economic viability, environmental impact or transportability need to be taken into consideration in research. Until feasible and completely sustainable new sources of energy would have been developed, several strategies must be applied to reduce serious negative effects on the earth caused by combustion of fossil fuels. Fossil fuel combustion emits thousands of tons of CO2 every year and will still be the main energy source in foreseeable decades. Under such circumstances, CO2 capture and storage is one of the most important strategies demanding to be carried out.
