Abstract

A substantial challenge in the field of motion capture is displaying kinematic data in real time in a meaningful way for users. There are distinct user groups and businesses often have a wide range of clients in separate areas. This thesis investigated the opportunity to have a unified way of displaying data to the respective user groups. The main approach for investigating the possibilities was through a customizable dashboard where users can display what kinematic data to illustrate and how. The project was carried out through an iterative design process alongside with agile development sprints for the purpose of producing code. The design process was done in a total of three iterations of research & requirements, design alternatives, prototyping and evaluation. User tests were performed on employees of Qualisys. The final results and findings of the project includes a fully functional interactive prototype which enables users to customize how they want to see kinematic data in real time. The results also include a set of users stories which can serve as the basis for the purpose of future development.
