Abstract

This project entails transforming and designing a new primary care center in Vadstena. The task includes a dental care centre (500m2), inpatient ward (500m2), and other primary healthcare facilities, totaling at 3500m2. The proposal also needs to consider the possibility of future proofing and sustainable development. The site has two existing buildings, one which has to be preserved and one that can be transformed or demolished. The site area is divided into two plots. Plot 1: Largest building area 1000m2/Maximum building height 11m. Plot 2: Largest building area 1750m2/Maximum building height 8m. The connection with the site´s surroundings also needs to be considered in our design.
