dc.description.abstractThis thesis is about autonomous parking cars and the implications for infrastructure of parking. The changes that are needed and the adoption of the new innovation are studied in the transition phase, the phase where there will be both traditional and autonomous cars in society. The methods used to study this have been an extensive literature review, databases, internal company data and mainly expert interviews. The results showed that there are clear benefits with autonomous cars but also some factors that can prevent a near market introduction. From the results section, a view of when autonomous cars of different levels can be introduced to the market was created. With the information gained using the different methods and analysing this information, clear recommendations of what could be done in different phases was illustrated in a timeline.
