dc.description.abstract | In this thesis an automated test system for a modular rectifier unit was developed. The implemented test procedure was made using the software LabVIEW. To present the test data, an Excel program organizes all data in various tables. The raw data is stored in a text file. As a result of automating the test procedure, a reduction of the test time was made by 60 percent. Another important improvement is the nearly eliminated possibility of errors made by the test staff when handling and reading measurement instruments. It is now possible to make statistical calculations based on the stored test data. By automating the test system, a big step is taken towards getting a fully modernized production line. This is an important aspect when trying to stay ahead of the competitors. | |
