The use of efficient vehicles is crucial to meet the populations mobility demands. It is therefore important to conduct research and development on, for example, electric vehicles to contribute to the continued evolution of these vehicles. In this master thesis an electric vehicle has been fitted with developed hardware, such as motor drivers and control computers with the purpose of controlling the vehicle with respect to performance, safety and efficiency. Several software features, such as torque vectoring and regenerative breaking, has been implemented and evaluated. The resulting hardware and software works as designed, performs well and can control the vehicle correctly and safely. The results of this report can and has been used to further develop other electric vehicles.
