Sammanfattning

With the introduction of IEC 60034-2-1:2007 as the new standard for determining efficiency and losses in rotating electric machines some old calculation methods are no longer considered accurate enough. This is especially clear in the case of the much debated determination of stray load losses, which no longer can be specified as 0.5% of input power, but now instead should be determined from the so called residual losses. The residual losses are what is left when the resistive, iron and friction and windage losses have been subtracted from the difference between input and output power. This master thesis work has focused on working out a new routine for testing induction machines according to IEC 60034-2-1:2007, based on the equipment and possibilities available at Myrén & Co. The routine has been tested on site but determination of the quality of the whole test has been difficult due to a malfunctioning torque transducer which has caused quite a lot of uncertainty regarding the generated output power. The torque transducer should be tested before the results from the new routine can finally be evaluated. Results not dependant on torque measurement, however, have been looking as expected in terms of both size and behavior.
