SAMMANDRAG Lerums kommun har en vision om att bli Sveriges ledande miljökommun till år 2025 eller tidigare. En stor del av arbetet, som kännetecknas av hållbarhet, kreativitet och inflytande, sker i Gråbo. Det är idag en ort som känns bortglömd och är lätt att passera utan vetskap om dess placering. Samhället har såväl synliga baksidor som är i behov av förbättring och förnyelse, som outnyttjade tillgångar som bör lyftas fram. Syftet med föreliggande arbete är att ta fram förslag på hur Gråbo kan förbättras både med avseende på hållbar samhällsutveckling samt estetiska och funktionsmässiga förbättringar av samhället. Arbetet påbörjades med en faktainsamling, som sedan låg till grund för en inventering på plats i Gråbo. Detta sammanställdes till en analys där tillgångar och problem presenterades med hjälp av Adobe Illustrator till flera kartor. Vidare valdes fyra huvudområden där förslag arbetades fram på förnyelse och förädling. Framtagandet av ritningarna till förslagen genomfördes i två steg där det första gjordes med hjälp av handskisser och det andra med hjälp av AutoCAD, Autodesk Impression och Adobe Illustrator. Analysen resulterade i fyra förslag som alla haft en mänsklig skala och hållbar utveckling i åtanke. Detta innebär att vi har sett till vilka potential samhället har och hur dessa kan lyftas fram för att i första hand uppfylla de boendes behov.Genom arbetet har vi kommit till slutsatsen att de gemensamt ägda stadsrummen är viktigare än exploatering i form av exempelvis handel och bostäder. ABSTRACT Lerum municipality has a vision about becoming the leading eco-municipality until 2025 or earlier. A lot of the work, which is characterized by sustainability, creativity and influence, is being done in Gråbo. Today, this is a community that feels forgotten and is easy to pass without knowing its location. The society has both visual flipsides which are in need of improvement and renewal, as well as untapped assets that should be highlighted. The aim of this study is to give proposals on how Gråbo can be improved both in terms of a sustainable development, as well as an aesthetic and functional development. The work began with gathering information, which formed the foundation of an inventory of Gråbo. This was compiled into an analysis where assets and problems were presented with Adobe Illustrator into several maps. Furthermore, four main areas were chosen in which proposals for innovation and refinement were given. Creation of drawings for the proposals were then first made by hand and then completed with AutoCAD, Autodesk Impression, and Adobe Illustrator. The analysis resulted in four proposals which had all been influenced by a human scale and a sustainable development. This means that we have seen which potential the community has and how these can be highlighted mainly to answer to the inhabitant’s needs. Through this study we have come to the conclusion that the common urban spaces are more important than the exploitation of for example trade and housing.
