SAMMANDRAG Denna rapport är en del i ett examensarbete på byggingenjörsutbildningen vid Chalmers Tekniska Högskola. Som komplement till rapporten finns ritningar på idéförslag samt ett program som beskriver byggnadens nutida utformning samt kraven på en ombyggnad. I denna rapport utreder vi möjligheterna att bygga om den befintliga järnvägsstationen i Mellerud till ett modernt resecentrum, på uppdrag av Melleruds kommun. Rapporten behandlar flera olika grundläggande lösningar av utformningen. Med dessa som utgångspunkt utformas sedan de olika delarna i den bästa av de grundläggande lösningarna. Målet med rapporten är att utforma ett resecentrum som tillgodoser resenärernas behov. Detta ska kunna leda till att fler ska vilja resa kollektivt. Arbetet har utförts i samarbete med personer som har lång erfarenhet av de områdena som har behandlats. I samarbete med Melleruds kommun har förslagen tagits fram utifrån de olika kraven. Med resestatistik som en grund i arbetet har behovet av ytor i resecentrumet kunnat fastställas. Dessutom har undersökning av byggnadens historia varit bidragande för att kunna skapa en miljö som återknyter till ursprunget. Slutsatsen med denna rapport är att Melleruds stationshus har potential att bli ett modernt resecentrum. Dessutom visar rapporten hur viktigt det är att utforma ett resecentrum på ett noggrant sätt för att göra det till en säker och trygg miljö för resenärerna. ABSTRACT This report is part of a degree project on Construction and Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology. As a complement to the report there are drawings of a proposal and a brief. This is describing the building’s current design and the requirements for a refurbishment. This report investigates the possibilities to convert the existing railway station in Mellerud into a modern travel center, on behalf of Mellerud municipality. The report deals with several different basic solutions for the design. With these as a starting point the parts in the best of these basic solutions are then designed. The report aims to design a travel center that meets the travelers' needs for a suitable travel center. The result of this is hoped to be that more people would use the public transport. The work has been performed together with people who have long experience in the areas that have been dealt with. In collaboration with Mellerud municipality the proposals has been developed out of the various requirements. With travel statistics as a base for the work, the need for space in the travel centre has been established. In addition, a study of the building's history has been contributing to creating an environment that reconnects to the origin. The conclusion of this report is that Mellerud´s station has the potential of becoming a modern travel center. Moreover, the report shows how important it is to design a travel center in a careful way to make it a safe and secure environment for the passengers.
