Abstract: This report describes the development of an Android application for students to increase their productivity. The majority of students in Sweden have access to a smartphone, which can be a powerful tool for both planning and conducting studies. Furthermore, the report describes and discusses the methods used. During the research phase literature was read, interviews with student councilors were held and individuals from the target audience answered questions of a questionnaire. Throughout the implementation phase the software development method Lean Development was used. Additionally, two user evaluations of interaction design of the application were conducted; one on the first version of the interface, and the second was made after the implementation phase had ended. The project resulted in a mobile application with three core features: a calendar for planning, a timer to perform a study session and statistics for positive feedback. Other features included are the possibility to create courses, study tasks and to read about study techniques and study tips. Finally, the user interfaces of the individual functions are portrayed and a discussion of the implementation of these is held. The usefulness of the application is assessed, but to be certain further user tests have to be made.
