dc.description.abstract | Mental illness among adolescents has increased from 6.5 to 66 percent in the past 30 years. The company Selfix AB has ambitions to slow down this development through their app Happy Habits by creating a tool that offers cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). The goal was to make CBT more accessible, creating an app that can be used for personal development and to promote well-being. The goal of the project is to develop an interactive prototype of an application for mobile devices whose purpose was to use digital CBT to help users change or create new habits. Through a user-centered process consisting of four phases of understanding, specifying, designing and evaluating a final concept has been developed. In the initial understanding phase, key elements were to understand the concept, the market and the users. The user studies consisted of in-depth interviews and a questionnaire, conducted to gain a better understanding of the user requirements. Thereafter three segments with personas and scenarios were created. Finally, the user's requirements were compiled in a requirements specification. After that, the conceptualization of the app began. Initially, the current prototype was tested in order to discover development areas. Thereafter two prototypes were produced of different complexity along with user testing of them. The project resulted in an interactive prototype that acts as a CBT-based tool for personal development by offering exercises and helping the user establish new habits. The interface incorporates more serious content into a softer context, where the developed concept differs slightly from the original idea and gives the user more control over their use | sv |
