dc.description.abstractThis thesis describes the development of GreenMe, an application allowing users to log their ecological footprint within groceries and transport. The challenge is to know how big the impact on the environment an individual has. The goal of GreenMe is to make the user aware of this impact. To make the footprint accurate it is necessary to log extensive and detailed information. It is therefore mandatory that the application user-friendly and visually appealing. Also an incentive in terms of a competitive element is implemented for the user to actually feel motivated to do something for the environment. The thesis also describes the implementation of the application, where the main functionality includes logging food that the user has bought and journeys made by the user. Furthermore, the thesis also includes usability tests that we performed and their results. The complexity within the implementation varied, which meant that certain functionality could not be completed, this is discussed in more detail in the chapter of discussion.
