Abstract

Worst case analysis(WCA) is an analysis method, which provides adequate information about a circuit’s robustness at a specific operating point. WCA also provides some statistics about circuit performance in a worst-case scenario. Parameters such as temperature, voltage, current limits, etc. are used to quantify circuits performance. This knowledge aids the designers in developing a robust circuit. This thesis is focused on the integration ofWCM into the development process of a company, including finding an appropriate WCA approach. Initial investigation revealed a need for a software tool to perform a smoother and faster worst case analysis. Therefore, the development of an in-house tool in MATLAB with the end user in goal is also addressed. A worst-case analysis was performed on a case study and results were verified with WCM. Hence, demonstrating the integration of WCA tool into the development process.
