SportsSphere is a bachelor’s thesis aimed at developing a concept for a digital plattorm that encourages networking through golf. The idea originates from a product design studio, Boid, which in collaboration with We Do Sports, saw an opportunity in the market. To explore the idea, several interviews were conducted with the two main interested parties: golf clubs and businesses, giving a better overview of the market’s needs. Simultaneously, research of market was conducted in order to identify similar services already meeting these needs, aiming for a better understanding of how SportsSphere can differentiate itself. After an extensive idea generation process, two concepts were developed. The concepts were then narrowed down to a final concept based on feedback from an evaluation phase consisting of more interviews. The final result, SportsSphere, serves as an administration system for Golf Country Clubs managing business networks, and a way for users to easily discover new business opportunities in the relaxed environment that is golf.
