Abstract
During the million homes program nine apartment buildings were built in Bergsjön in 1969 by Lars Ågren. One of these was later transformed into a collective house by Siv Carlsson in collaboration with Lars Ågren in 1980. As a collective the tenants organize meals together and have a shared responsibility for the upkeep of the building, forming a loose but intentional community. In 2002 the collective bought the building and organized another renovation which was finished in 2015. The ambition was to convert the apartment building into a passive house and cover the facade in solar panels. These solar panels were incorrectly installed by a company that later went bankrupt, leaving the collective with financial troubles and a facade in need of another renovation.
