Sammanfattning
This report documents the work of a bachelor’s thesis, which aimed to investigate the
future use of cars. ZEEKR, the client of the project, presented a brief with a given
thesis question, ”How can modularity, MagSafe technology, and BYOD
enhance the future use of vehicles and increase user value?”, which was
broad and open-ended to allow for in-depth exploration of the topic.
The project evolved into a research-focused one that sought to explore the future of
cars and how they could be used. To this end, the team delved deeply into these
areas and sought to understand the broader context in which a product could be
used.
To answer these questions, the team conducted an in-depth investigation to under stand the broader context. Additionally, the team used personas and scenarios to
effectively communicate the findings and contextualize the research.
The team focused on working in a car and how it might look in the future. This
research culminated in a product development phase, during which the team created
a concept that uses AR technology, MagSafe technology, and modularity to enable
users to work in a shared car. This concept, known as AccelARate, addresses issues
related to privacy, multitasking, lights, sounds, and vibrations that are relevant to
the context of use. In conclusion, the AccelARate represents the team’s answer to
the research question posed at the outset of the project.
