Abstract

This study investigates the pre-arrival information for tankers inbound for the Port of Gothenburg. The intention is to try and decide which information that can be relevant and important, as well as how the information is passed on between the involved parties. By figuring out how the contact between ships and shore based organizations work, it is possible to analyze the information that reaches the ships. The background describes rules and regulations, both national and international, which are significant for the content of the pre-arrival information. The method that was used to get qualitative information were interviews, which later was compared too rules and regulations. The interviews were held with representatives from the different organizations that are involved with the pre-arrival information. By the result shown in this report there are potential to improve the structure and standardization of the pre-arrival information. This report is written in swedish.
