A good indoor climate is an important prerequisite for people to feel well-being. In schools and universities, the indoor climate is even more important. In the Samhällsbyggnadshuset at Chalmers University of Technology, the indoor climate was considered to be inadequate according to the students. This resulted in a graduate work in 2014 that examined the parameters temperature, carbon dioxide content, flow and air velocity in the lecture hall H1 in the building. The conclusions were that the hall either was heavily overheated or the ventilation system was completely shut down. In 2016, a renovation was completed of the Samhällsbyggnadshuset where installation components and climate shell were replaced. As a result, the authors got the idea of re-examining the indoor climate. The purpose of this study was to investigate the parameters of temperature, carbon dioxide content, particle content and relative humidity in both lecture hall, computer room, lecture room, corridor and group rooms, as well as compare the results with the previous study and compare halls between each other as far as possible. To answer the questions in this study, a number of measurements of the parameters and a study visit was conducted with the Akademiska Hus operating engineer. In addition, a survey was conducted to find out the students perceptions of the indoor climate after the reconstruction. The results of the lecture room, like the previous study, showed a little too vigorous ventilation. In the computer and study rooms as well as in the group rooms, the survey showed varied results depending on whether or not the supply air was switched on or off. These differences were largely due to the type of ventilation in the halls and how well the connection between the booking and the control and regulation system worked.
