FMEA – Ett tekniskt dokument för DP-fartyg

Abstract

This report is a short description of what FMEA is and the process of getting a vessel approved against one of the three DP-classes. The report also investigates the knowledge of FMEA and whether or not the officers onboard have been trained in, have an understanding of, and are using the FMEA-document. The statistics for the last part of this report is a product of a survey that has been sent out to active officers onboard vessels with DP-systems. The result shows clear differences depending on the different departments onboard and also the amount of experience.
