In an constantly evolving society, technology plays a crucial role in enhancing our every-day lives. The human curiosity about how our surrounding world affects us has combined with an increasing desire to understand what influences our well-being. The market for smart rings hold great potential to develop these products that help us understand the factors affecting our wellness. In collaboration with Cebon, the project analyzed the market's potential and how it will further develop in the future. The cooperation focused on evaluating the opportunities and limitations within the market to ultimately produce a "proof of concept" based on the identified market spaces, corresponding to the results of consumer, industry, and company analyses. The market is partially limited by factors such as expertise, data collection, and an established customer segment. The technology industry is becoming increasingly difficult to enter as current companies develop compatible solutions and provide complete, interoperable product series. The constant threat from potential new market entrants creates additional challenges for investment companies like Cebon to establish themselves. However, the market analysis showed that there are deficiencies in the current products to reach all customer groups and that Cebon possesses the expertise to offer existing suppliers alternative solutions. Cebon's resources in energy solutions provide a solid foundation to meet the needs for smart ring charging solutions. Product development was based on the requirements that emerged from the market analysis and resulted in a practically feasible concept. The reality-based process involved considerations regarding material selection, manufacturing techniques, and the creation of 3D renderings. The concept was designed according to user preferences and needs. In addition to creating a better everyday experience, the concept is proof that Cebon can become a future competitive player in the market. The resulting concept is characterized by a versatile charger while simultaneously reducing its environmental sustainability footprint.
