dc.description.abstract | The Global warming is affected by greenhouse gases. A large factor of total emissions is the impact of industries and factories. The United Nations have publish global targets to prevent the impact of rising average temperatures. In order for companies and organizations to be able to work towards these global goals, the goals need to be adapted so that companies can apply them. The report presents the goals, with associated sub-goals, at a global level. Based on these sub-goals, questions have been formulated that have been used in interviews with Volvo Cars and Miljöbron. The interview with Volvo Cars is based on contemporary and future requirements for suppliers.Volvo Cars presented various models and protocols that are used when reviewing suppliers' environmental impact and the suppliers internal working methods. The interview with Miljöbron is constructed to present other views on how companies and suppliers should work to meet global goals. Transportation is responsible for a large proportion of carbon dioxide emissions. Therefore, analyzes within logistics have been done. The analyzes are based on the most common way of transporting components. The footprints produced by calculation models and database tools have been compared to see in concrete terms how each transport affects the energy consumption and the carbon dioxide emission. Based on the interviews from Volvo Cars and Miljöbron, a evaluation model has been formulated and designed. The model satisfies the future requirements to enter into a partnership with Volvo Cars. The model will be used by suppliers at an early stage, to satisfy the requirements and the controls Volvo Cars will perform or demand. | sv |
