Sammanfattning
Cruise Control and its associated functions are essential tools for modern truck
drivers, particularly during long-distance hauls. This project aims to make the use
of the Cruise Control system more attractive for both experienced and novice drivers
by developing a minimalist and less complex user interface.
The final result is based on the insights and identified requirements obtained through
user studies, supported by theories and principles in usability and user-centered
design. It can be concluded that there is a significant need for the interface to be
intuitive enough for drivers to navigate during first use, and the system’s functions
must be clearly defined. The final product is therefore characterized by clear system
structure and direct interaction pathways. Based on the work conducted, conclusions
can be drawn regarding learning, interaction design, and driver needs.
