dc.description.abstract | This report describes a thesis that deals with the possibility of developing a powerful portable power source. The goal of the work was to simplify the access to electricity for people that are living in places where the ability to access electricity is not given. Whether such a power source is needed and for what purposes it would be used was investigated. A requirement specification was developed where criterias were set on safety, material properties and on the performance of the battery. Based on the criterias, different types of battery cells were compared to find which type of battery cell is the most optimal for the purpose. The choice of material for the chassi was also made based on the requirements and wishes formulated in the requirement specification. Through sketches and models in CAD, various constructions were made on solutions with the aim of simplifying the use. The result was a concept of a powerful battery pack that facilitates access to electricity in places where the access is limited. | |
